OUR Mission

CHUSSDEV mission is to promote research, evident-based policy engagement and intervention Programmes to address community poverty, Gender inequality, Environmental Degradation in Urban areas and rural communities

THE MAIN OBJECTIVES

Objectives of CHUSSDEV are to:

  1. Carry out regular research on urban dynamics, Natural resources, Environment, climate change, Governance and resilience to stress factors
  2.  Address Humanitarian crisis and responses to human disturbances and disasters
  3. Build Capacity of the stakeholders for climate adaptation and mitigation
  4. Support the communities for landscape restoration and mainstreaming Biodiversity
  5. Monitor urban systems through Remote sensing, Geospatial Technologies and other data sets
  6. Provide advisory services on policy matters and implementation on Urban governance
  7. Promote eradication of poverty in communities
  8. Engage Communities on the development of critical skill sets for livelihood improvement
  9. Conduct Training, Workshops, seminars advocacy and policy engagement towards improving Human Capital Developments.
  10. Partner with neighborhood associations, Private Investors , Donor Agencies and Public sector for Urban and community improvement
  11. Promote Gender Equality in Urban and rural communities
  12. Promote healthy life styles and climate friendly livelihoods
